Iterative Time-Varying Filter Algorithm Based on Discrete Linear Chirp Transform

Denoising of broadband non--stationary signals is a challenging problem in communication systems. In this paper, we introduce a time-varying filter algorithm based on the discrete linear chirp transform (DLCT), which provides local signal decomposition in terms of linear chirps. The method relies on the ability of the DLCT for providing a sparse representation to a wide class of broadband signals. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with the discrete fractional Fourier transform (DFrFT) filtering algorithm. Simulation results show that the DLCT algorithm provides better performance than the DFrFT algorithm and consequently achieves high quality filtering.Comment: 6 pages, conference pape

Simple Processing Sequence to VSP-Seismic data matching in Sindbad oil field, south of Iraq

The purpose of this research is to get the batter matching between VSP and seismic data after preforming a simple processing sequence on Zero-offset VSP survey. Sindbad oil field is chosen to study goals and it\u27s containing only one well with VSP survey (Snd2) that covering depth from Zubair to Sulaiy Formations and 2D seismic lines of Basrah Survey (2Br & 5Br). In order to get the mentioned information from VSP the main steps of processing sequence (Velocity calculation, Amplitude recovery, wave separation, deconvolution and stacking) has been used to measure (RMS and AVG) velocity and make the corridor stack image of VSP p-waves in Promax landmark software. The principle of VSP and seismic data matching is depended on phase and time shift. The matching filter in Omega software depends on frequency content, phase, locations of the two data and amplitude difference which gives us batter correlation for matching. The final test of these filters shows good matching between Snd-2 VSP and 2Br2 Seismic line

Background: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic auto-immune disease with diverse manifestations, ranging from mild rash or arthritis to severe organ-threatening involvement. Objective: The aim of the work was to find-out the possible association of hypophosphatemia and hyponatremia with disease activity in SLE patients.Patients and methods: A total of 100 patients with SLE were involved in this study and the serum level of sodium and phosphorus, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), leucocytic and platelet counts, and 24 hr. protein were measured. SLE disease activity index (SLEDAI) score was assessed,Results: The majority of patients were females; 94 (94%) and 6 males (6%) (F:M 15.7:1). The age of the patient ranged from 17 to 63 years with a mean age of 34.23 ±11.19 years. The disease duration was 48±55.7 months. 7. 41% of SLE patients were hyponatremic and 49% showed normonatremic. There was a significant correlation between Na level, SLEDAI score, vasculitis and arthritis and insignificant correlation with ESR. 47 patients were hypophosphatemic  (47%) and 53 (53%) were normophophatemic. There was a significant correlation between phosphate level and SLEDAI, oral ulcers p=0.001 and arthritis p<0.0004 but negatively related with ESR.Conclusion: It could be concluded that hyponatremia and hypophosphatemia are significantly related to SLEDAI, so it could be used as indicators of SLE activity and sever inflammation

Methotrexate (MTX) is an anticancer agent which is used alone or in combination with other anticancer agents in the treatment of breast cancer, epidermoid cancers of the head and neck, cutaneous T cell lymphoma, and lung cancer. Bombyx mori larvae have a huge value as health food especially for cardiac and diabetic patients, bronchial asthma, primary trigeminal neuralgia, vocal nodules and polyps and in the treatment of facial palsy and pain. In the present study meeting occurred under the normal conditions and about 40 pregnant female rats were used. Herein the pregnant females will be divided into five groups;  group 1 will be used as negative control received distilled water, group 2 will used as positive control and recived buffer of Bombyx mori larvae extract,  group 3 was treated with MTX at the 12th day of gestation (at organogenesis phase), group 4 was treated with Bombyx mori larvae  extract at 7th , 9th , 11th ,13th  and 15th days of gestation (during the oraganogensis  period), & group 5 was injected by MTX the 12th day of  gestation as well as bombyx mori larvae extract at 7th ,9th ,11th ,13th  &15th days of gestation. Animals of all groups will be sacrificed at 20th day, the end of gestation periods. Then livers of all pregnant rats were removed for examination. The obtained results showed decrease in maternal body weight gain plus increase in the abortion rate and uterine weight in the MTX-treated group. In addition, MTX induced an elevation in the examined liver oxidative stress biomarkers plus myeloperoxidase activity and decrease in reduced glutathione content and catalase activity; in mothers. Histopathological studies of liver tissues showed congestion of central vein of mothers in MTX group showing ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes, perivascular inflammatory cells infiltration and strong deposition of collagen fibers. Noteworthy, Bombyx mori larvae induced marked improvement in injuries associated with MTX administration. Keywords: Methotrexate, Bombyx mori larvae, Pregnant female rats, Hepatotoxicity

The aim of this study was to test the efficacy of the Ovsynch alone or in combination with CIDR treated buffaloes on conception rate of anestrous Iraqi buffaloes. The present study was conducted on 50 anestrous buffaloes suffering from postpartum ovarian inactivity. Buffaloes were randomly assigned to three treatment groups. Buffaloes in Treatment 1 (n=20) received on day 0 GnRH 250 μg and a 25 mg of PGF2α on day 7, two days later a second injection of GnRH (250 μg). Buffaloes in Treatment 2 (n=20) injected on day 0 of the experiment, GnRH 250 μg and a CIDR was placed in the anterior vagina. On day 7, they were injected with 25 mg of PGF2α and on the following day (day 8) the CIDR were removed. On day 9 a second dose of GnRH (250 μg) was injected. Treatment 3 a control group (n=10) received no treatments. Results showed that in treatment 1, 7 out of 20 buffaloes received treatment exhibited estrus within 74.8 ± 6.3 after second GnRH administration. The estrus induction rate was 35%. Total number of buffaloes became pregnant was 1 (5%). In treatment 2 75% of the buffaloes received treatment exhibited estrus within 77.8 ± 5.6 h after CIDR removal. Total number of buffaloes became pregnant was 7 (31.8%). Lower (P <0.05) Pregnancy rate was achieved in buffaloes treated with Ovsynch than other buffaloes treated with Ovsynch plus CIDR. Higher rates of estrus induction (75%; P<0.05) and conception rate (7 buffaloes out of 20) were found in buffaloes treated with Ovsynch plus CIDR. In conclusion, our results indicate that the addition of Ovsynch to a progesterone-based CIDR protocol substantially improves the estrus induction and pregnancy rates in postpartum anestrous buffaloes

    Get PDF
Since the demand for self-sustained wireless systems is increasing, there is a trend towards RF energy harvesting. It is a key solution to energize the low power systems such as the Internet of Things (IoT) devices without replacing the batteries periodically. This paper presents the design and analysis of RF energy harvesting system that consists of dual-band microstrip patch antenna operating at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, an impedance matching network, 4-stage voltage doubler and a storing circuit. The antenna is designed using ADS Agilent and sonnet suites software that provides a directivity of 5.5 dBi and 6.3 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz respectively. The measured results of the fabricated antenna are well agreement with the simulated results. Simulated results show that for an input received power of 10 mW, the proposed system can provide 4.5 mW power at the output of 4-stage voltage rectifier with an overall efficiency of 45%.TÜBİTAKPublisher versio
